Our Breeding Dogs either live with us as our beloved family pet or live with their forever guardian family and return to us a week before whelping and remain with us until the litter is weened.   Kalina's breeding program is based on a strict selection of Australian Labradoodles who carry the right temperament, confirmation, allergy-friendly coats and genetic qualities to guarantee a healthy puppy.    

 

As a member of the Australian Labradoodle Association (ALA) we use a comprehensive health-screening program to guide our breeding strategies.   We screen for hip and and elbow dysplasia with AVA scoring and  PennHIP scoring for hip Osteoarthritis and comprehensive DNA testing allowing us to select the right parents of your puppy in the hope that he or she will lead a long and healthy life as part of your family and give you peace of mind.  Kalina Labradoodles is required by the ALA to test our breeding dogs for the following genetically inheritable conditions:

• Hip and Elbow Dysplasia

• PRA-prcd

• Cystinuria

• Centronuclear Myopathy 

• Exercise Induced Collapse

• Myotubuular Myopathy X Linked

• Neonatal Encephalopathy

• Von willebrands disease Type I

• Degenerative Myelopathy

• Autosomal Hereditary Recessive Nephropathy

• Phosphofructokinase Deficiency
